(January 11, 2011) New York, NY â€“ Inaugurating the New Year with innovative new music and new media collaborations, platinum recording artist, MIMS returns to the music scene with the release of his much talked about interactive mix cd, OPEN BARS. The first of its kind to integrate unsigned artists and producer participation in its completion, OPEN BARS is a shining example of MIMSâ€™ ingenuity and creativity to effectively engage fans as both an artist and an entrepreneur. MIMS, revolutionized ringtone sales in 2007 with his debut single, â€œThis Is Why Iâ€™m Hotâ€ and now he is back to once again take the music industry by storm with out of the box innovations. The OPEN BARS EP will be released as part of a larger campaign which will include a global contest for upcoming artists and producers, a new website (www.mimslife.com), a viral ad campaign and partnerships with various top tier, hip-hop websites. The EP itself is composed of unfinished tracks in order to allow artists and producers to compete for the opportunity to be a part of history by finishing the creation. Winning participantsâ€™ verses and/or production will be implemented in the final project to be released at a future date and sold exclusively on the iTunes Storefront and marketed through American King Music & DigiwaxxDigital.

The submissions process begins 1/11/11 and must be received no later than 2/11/11. A panel of seasoned music industry executives will select the best verses for each song and the winning artists will be granted a slot to open up for MIMS at a selected performance in a city near them as well as consideration to be included in accompanying videos.
